Kristen is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. In 2012, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While earning her bachelor’s degree, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. After completing a nurse residency and a nurse scholars program, she worked on the Cardiac Surgery Progressive Care Unit in the University of Maryland Medical Center while pursuing her advanced degree. She graduated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from University of Maryland. She also worked as a graduate teaching assistant in the Clinical Simulation Laboratories and in the master’s level health assessment course.
Kristen is an active member in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland to advocate for her patients at the state and national level. Her special interests include preventative care and mental health, as her doctorate project focused on depression screenings. Kristen is an enthusiastic practitioner of lifestyle and nutrition coaching within the Body and Wellness Program.
