The influenza season has arrived. Check out the CDC consumer page to get updates on local outbreaks and for more information on the vaccines. Patients should refer to our Flu Clinic calendar for convenient walk in times, or ask their provider during appointments for a vaccine. The duration of protection is thought to be close to one year, so it is not too early!
As of today’s CDC bulletin:
Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a yearly vaccine. Flu season usually begins in October and can last through May.
