You will find all 4 receipts from tonight in our receipts tab. Below was the information and tips given out to help you eat better during the upcoming holiday season, enjoy!
- It’s all about portion control & good choices!
- Use small plates when at parties.
- Fill up your small plate first with veggies and proteins, then go back for small portions of your favorites after you have something to ill your stomach.
- Do not eat after you are full.
- How to avoid SNACKING!
- Stand more than an arm’s length away from snack/sweet bowls.
- Eat breakfast in the morning’s so you’re not as hungry.
- Don’t keep office “goodies” within view of your desk.
- Beverages
- Limit alcohol to 1-2 drinks per occasion.
- Alternatives: Club soda, Sparkling water, Water w/ lime/lemon, herbal tea.
- Make time for exercise!
- Take extra laps at the mall when shopping.
- Parking further away from the store entrances to get in extra steps.
- Try a new class at the gym before Jan 1st when that all get crowded.
- Food substitutions
- Herb Marinade instead of gravy.
- Cauliflower instead of rice/ potatoes
- Greek yogurt instead of sour cream
- Applesauce instead of butter/ shortening in baked goods.
- Spaghetti squash / zucchini noodles instead of pasta.
